Why its great: Sold as a set of six, each pack of these sanitizer wipes contains 20 antibacterial sheets. These wipes are made with a gentle, hypoallergenic formula thats free of alcohol, parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. Ingredients also include aloe to keep your hands moisturized and soft. A resealable opening keeps these wipes fresh while the compact container is perfect for stashing in a diaper bag or the glove compartment of your car. Parents praise these wipes for being portable, affordable, and great for kids with extra sensitive skin.
Keep in mind: Some customers report that these wipes arent as wet as they expected.
Good for: Babies prone to allergies as these wipes are hypoallergenic and wont cause any unnecessary reaction.
The Touch Test: Softness Texture And Thickness
Testers were divided on these three qualities. Pampers and Babyganics were the top softness performers, with especially high marks compared to the other brands. Pampers credits their blend of plant-derived rayon and polypropylene for the fabric-like feel. But that wasnt enough for either one to get the highest marks for texture, which went to Bloom, and thickness, which went to Huggies and Pampers.
Texture on baby wipes is created by stamping or weaving a pattern or picture into the surface of the wipe. Six of the eight wipes have textures, including ducks and clouds, polka dots, and wavy lines. WaterWipes and Babyganics are simply smooth cloth with no specially created texture.
Seventh Generation wipes are relatively thick with a stamped texture, but because theyre not soft they feel stiff and not pliable enough for the inevitable crevices that need to be cleaned. Babyganics, however, is a thinner, softer wipe with no stamped texture that still feels very effective at clean-up.
In these categories the personal preferences really shone through. For example, some testers rated Amazon wipes as too coarse and too papery, while another noted they were among the best wipes Ive tried. One tester gave Babyganics the lowest score possible for texture and thickness, while another gave the same wipes the highest score possible in those categories.

Should I Buy Baby Wipes In Bulk
Its best to hold off on making a big purchase until after youve tried the brand youre considering on your babys bottom . Buy smaller packages to use in the first couple of weeks and see which ones work best with no irritation to your babys skin.
After youve found a winner, then its worth it to buy them in bulk.

Whats The Difference Between Diaper Wipes And Disinfectant Baby Wipes
Diaper wipes are intended to be used on a babys sensitive skin and do not contain ingredients that kill bacteria or viruses. For this reason, diaper wipes arent a great option for cleaning surfaces or disinfecting toys. However, you also shouldnt replace your diaper wipes with disinfectant wipes. Disinfectant wipes typically contain stronger solutions than diaper wipes, which means they could irritate your little ones skin. If youre not sure what a wipe is intended to clean, be sure to check the products description and ingredient list before using.
Pampers Sensitive Baby Wipes
These moderate wipes had been examined with the aid of using dermatologists and dont comprise perfumes, which on occasion cause allergies or rashes in toddlers. They use a gentle grip texture so your child can be lightly however successfully wiped clean after a grimy or moist diaper. The fabric wont sense harsh towards your childs pores and skin or yours. Thicker than many different options, those wipes wont shred or hang whilst you want the maximum. If youre searching out herbal moist wipes, those dont suit the bill. But theyre mild on touchy pores and skin, and that theyre a low-cost option.

Can Baby Wipes Expire
If your brand comes with added lotion or oils, it will last around three months after being opened, and two years unopened. Plain water wipes or those with fewer ingredients may last longer, particularly if youre careful not to let them dry out. If in doubt, almost all brands come with an expiry date on the package.
Store your wipes packages upside down if theyre in a soft package, or make sure the lid is closed if they come in their own container. Be careful when buying in bulk or online to make sure youre not committing to wipes that will only expire in a month. If they do dry out, though, dont despair you may be able to bring them back to life by spritzing them with a little water before use.
Other Finalists We Tested
Its evident that the folks at Amazon have done a lot of homework on what consumers want in baby wipes. If we consider the purchasing experience side by side with the product itself, Amazon Elements has an edge on the competition. Its good to know whats in your baby wipes its downright impressive to be able to track the source of every ingredient too. Testers found the wipes rather thin and not particularly soft, but overall, these are average wipes with a great price.
Another middle-of-the-road wipe that got the job done without any kind of bells and whistles, Bloom just didnt stand out to our testers. The almost-all-natural ingredient list and 100% natural fabric go a long way to recommend this brand, although the addition of possible irritant Phenoxyethanol might give some caregivers pause.
These medium-thick, relatively soft wipes feel like they could tear at any minute. At $0.05 per wipe for 448 wipes, its at the higher end of the price range of the wipes we tested. And the inclusion of Phenoxyethanol and Cocamidopropyl Betaine, among other synthetic additives, belies the natural in this wipes name. Theyre champion wipers, but if youre looking for truly natural wipes, these dont really fit the bill.

FIGURES show that a new-born baby will typically go through over 300 nappies a month. Now, thats a lot of wiping – so you want to make sure youve got the best baby wipes for the job.
Weve rounded up the best baby wipes based on cost, feel, effectiveness and eco-friendliness, using a combination of our own expert insight and customer reviews.
There are lots of baby wipes to choose from, and a few factors may influence your decision.
The first is cost: some baby wipes give you a lot more value for money, and considering how many youll go through each day, week and month, that can be an important factor.
Wed recommend bulk buying to save money. Dont worry, they will all get used up. Remember, toddlers and school children need baby wipes too.
The second determining factor is your babys skin: certain wipes are fragranced, others are unscented, while others still are made primarily with water to provide the purest experience for sensitive babies.
Midwives typically encourage wiping babys bottom with cotton wool and water , but many midwives have also given WaterWipes, whose wipes are made entirely of water, with a drop of fruit extract, their stamp of approval.
As with all baby gear, what works well for one family might not be the right choice for another, so when it comes to finding the best baby wipes for you, try a few brands out and see which ones you and baby like best.

The Best Baby Wipes Of 2022
Looking for the perfect baby wipes that are sensitive, soft, durable, effective, safe, and reasonably priced? Us too!
Every year we put over a dozen sensitive baby wipe options to the test, evaluating them on ourselves and on newborns and toddlers. Our top 5 results are listed below, followed by in-depth reviews of nearly a dozen different options.
|Model and Link to Amazon||Our Rating|
This year, to review and rank the best baby wipes for sensitive bums, we got together with 7 moms and dads. There were 5 babies to test, including two newborns, one 8-month old infant, and one 13-month old toddler.
For each brand, we felt and stretched the wipes, smelled them, and used them to clean up wet and soiled diapers. We also used them on ourselves to check out how they feel in terms of sensitivity, oils, and abrasiveness.
Pro-tip: If you run out of baby wipes, in a pinch you can use a paper towel dipped in warm water with a drop of baby soap and coconut oil!
Full disclosure: Some of these baby wipes, including the Bets and Emy, Dyper, Babyganics, and Honest versions, were sent to us as free test samples by the manufacturer.
Fred & Flo 60 Biodegradable Fragrance Free Wipes 52p For Pack Of 60 Wipes
Best for sensitive skin
Biodegradable: Yes | Scented: No
Tescos own brand wipes are a great option for parents on a budget but whose children might have sensitive skin. Formulated with a gentle cleansing milk which contains extracts of aloe vera and camomile and dermatologically approved, they are suitable for children who suffer from skin conditions such as eczema.
They load out of the packet well-meaning you generally only get one with each tug, reducing waste and speeding up access when youre struggling one-handed .
Another great feature is the fact they are available from a supermarket so you dont have to make a special trip to go get them just throw them in your trolley on the weekly shop or add them to your online delivery. The biodegradable wipes, while friendly to the planet, also feel stronger than the original Fred & Flo wipes and are just the right amount of wet not sloppy or soapy.
Writing on our Facebook page, mum Donna said: Really good value wet enough but not too thin and easily picked up in the weekly shop. Vic Brown, also on our Facebook group, added: Cheap and cheerful always on a three for two offer. Great for adults too.

Seventh Generation Free Clear Baby Wipes
Overall, these baby wipes are a great option, and if the cleaning effectiveness were a bit better, they would definitely top the Huggies Natural Care. If you’re looking for a wipe you can feel good about, with a great ingredient profile and very high sensitivity, then we definitely suggest these wipes over the Pampers or Huggies. If you’re willing to compromise a bit on ingredients in favor of cleaning effectiveness, then go with the Pampers or Huggies. Here are the ingredients for the Seventh Generation Free and Clear Baby Wipes, and the EWG hazard rating for each : Water , cocamidopropyl pg-dimonium chloride phosphate , citric acid , quillaja saponaria wood extract , aloe barbadensis leaf extract , tocopheryl acetate , sodium benzoate . There are some mildly concerning ingredients, including tocopheryl acetate and sodium benzoate , but nothing too alarming. Who else likes the Seventh Generation baby wipes? Bets And Emy Baby Wipes
Once you get a wipe out, they are pretty thin and minimally textured in fact, they are very similar to WaterWipes in their thickness and texture, both leaving a little something to be desired. If you’re cleaning up a pee-pee diaper, they’re fine, but if you’re cleaning up a poopie diaper, you’ll definitely want to fold them in half first. We definitely prefer a thicker wipe, in most cases of #2 we needed to use at least 3-4 wipes to get a good clean-up. That being said, they are super sensitive, and are a great option for babies with more sensitive skin, or a tendency to develop diaper rash with harsher wipes. The EWG has certified this product, its ingredients, and ingredient sourcing with a score of 1, which means that it has the lowest overall risk. Here are the ingredients for the Bets & Emy Baby Wipes, and the EWG hazard rating for each : Water , Citrus Grandis Seed Extract . Grapefruit seed extract is typically rated as a 2 by EWG, but in this case the manufacturer’s sourcing and handling of the ingredients led the EWG to lower that score to a 1. That means it’s overall rated as a 1, which is fantastic! Overall, we really liked these wipes, especially if you’re looking for a WaterWipes alternative for babies with sensitive skin but we were somewhat let down by the dispensing, thickness , clean-up ability, and texture. Would You Recommend This To Other Mums
Ellie: The water wipes were fantastic! They felt nice and knowing that they were water was even better as it felt good to use a more natural product as my daughter has such sensitive skin it was really good on her. They are nicely packaged and easy to fit in a changing bag. Knowing they are perfum free etc is also another bonus. I would recommend these to other mums.
Sam: I would Pampers Aqua Pure Wipes particularly to a fellow mum with a newborn or a baby with sensitive skin as it contains natural ingredients. The pack is portable and easy to chuck into a change bag for on the go. I like that Pampers has designed these with as little chemicals and nasties in as possible.
Syeda: I would definitely recommend the aqua wipes to other mums. You can be reassured that youre not using any chemicals or harsh substances on your baby’s delicate skin. The wipes are 99% water, made out of organic cotton with no perfume or alcohol. These are great for wiping toddler’s hands and face too.
