I truly felt super prepared to add one more to our clan and thought we would only need to buy clothes if we had a girl because yes we did not find out what gender our kiddos were until they were born. We bought essentials for what we thought we would need and clothing I waited on. We did buy four take home outfits since we werent sure what we would need. Twin Baby Items You Need Two Of
Obviously there are twin items that you will need to of, but its not as many as you may think. A good tip is if there is something that is expensive and you just cant bring yourself to get two of a twin product, then dont. You can improvise with what you may already have, or there may be a different item that will work for your twins. For example, you dont need two two baby carriers, you can buy one baby wrap and one baby carrier. Same with baby products like toys, its goo to have variety so they dont get bored.
Baby Swing For my twins, they were a must. When they were newborns, they would sleep and hang out in the swings the swings kept them calm in between feedings. As they got bigger, they loved being in them to play. The ones we used had speed control, vibrated, and played music all of which were very handy in keeping me and my boys sane. I personally like Pampers Swaddlers for size newborn, size 1, and size 2. One nugget of information to keep in the back of your head is that when babies get bigger around 6 months of age or when they go to size 3, the Costco Huggies called Huggies Plus are awesome.
These diapers are made specifically for Costco only and have extra protection. I love the Huggies Plus diapers because there is a noticeable difference in absorbency compared to all the other diaper brands I have tried.

A double frame stroller is the first item for twins you will want to purchase.
It is designed to allow you to snap your twins car seats directly into a lightweight stroller frame. This is important because your twins will spend much of their first six months sleeping and growing.

That thing you used to do before you had babies.
You will want to try EVERYTHING just to get those beautiful babies to sleep so you can also grab some shut eye before the whole change, feed, sleep cycle begins again.
Whoever came up with the idea of white noise to help babies sleep is an absolute GENIUS.
A white noise machine was the very first item I purchased when I discovered I was having twins.
Knowing that I was going to be caring for these newborn twins on my own made me very conscious of the fact that sleep was going to be my biggest enemy. I needed to do anything I could to help my babies settle to sleep quickly.
I purchased the Homedics White Noise Machine which was awesome and I used it consistently for at least a year with my girls.
It was then super handy if they were going through wakeful times, if fireworks were around or we went away.
